Exercising faith often requires us to make the first move. Through our trust in God, we take that first step with child-like dependence, focusing our eyes on Him. Those who are weak in the faith may act just the opposite. They tend to stand still while looking for God to move. Once they are convinced that God is in the situation and something has happened that cannot be explained by natural means, they are willing to follow. What about that? Is that really faith?

So what happens when you lose your job, the house is in foreclosure, your spouse leaves, your children raises up against you and the doctor presents a bad report?  Now if this is not ALL of hell breaking loose, then the feeling is pretty close! Probably for some of us, if just one of these events would take place in our lives, things will fall apart.  Frankly, it’s very easy to just give up and throw in the towel during these raging storms. The difficult task in all of this is staying the course...

Why is it that we can get so excited about people tell us they’ll do and yet we have a difficult time getting excited about the promises of God until we see it. And the thing that’s interesting is the longer we wait the more excited we get.  But with Christians it’s just the opposite. The longer we wait the more discouraged we get. The Bible talks about waiting on God. And waiting on God is not a passive thing, It’s very active and if you study it out it means to expect God.

We go through life and into places searching for something of value, something that will satisfy our desire or deep longing, but instead we find the same ‘old’ things and they aren’t what we’re looking for or what we want. We look in “box” after “box”; situation after situation, person after person, one thing after the other. We know what we think we want or at least have a vision of it—it’s beautiful and valuable and will complete our deepest desire..

Where many go wrong in their walk is trying to constantly TELL others about their lives as a Christian. If you are living your life bearing the fruits of the spirit it will be obvious to your fellow man that you are walking in the footsteps of Jesus. No need for a bumper sticker or a t-shirt announcing your status as a believer. Those things are superficial and can be purchased by anyone. Authenticity comes from others seeing you helping your brother or sister in Christ.

First allow me to point blank share with you a secret that the Accuser (that old devil himself) doesn't want any of us to know. No matter what trials, tests, bumps, bruises, batteries or scars we endure, WE ARE NOT damaged goods. We are not MARKED DOWN and we are not ON CLEARANCE.  In fact WE STILL have FULL VALUE and frankly are not for sale. Perspective is such an interesting word.  It is the mental view or the mental picture that one has of themselves, others...

Sometimes, I get lost upon a cloud of tears
And blinding fog, to my eye would pierce
But I know I only have to pause and pray
Because Lord, You're the Only Way.

When the waves of sorrow engulf my soul
And worry keeps me inside this gaunt hole
I know that to You, everything I would lay
Because Lord, You're the Only Way.

Sometimes the knife of rage would stab my heart
And my head feels like falling apart.
I canot find a way to mend them back but pray
Because Lord, You're the Only Way.

You're the Only Road, I know; the Only Way
Even if among a billion stars I'll go astray
You will still be there, ever near

I will always remember that as I whisper an earnest prayer.

ROMANS 5:1-2 NKJ 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. All we receive from God is by His grace.

We do not deserve it, and we are not able to earn it. It is a gift offered by grace. But we must access it by faith.

GALATIANS 3:14 NKJ 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

We receive through faith. Whether we are receiving the Holy Spirit or receiving healing.

Whatever we receive from God must be received by faith.

HEBREWS 6:12 NKJ 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. There are many promises in the Bible. If you want them to be manifest in your life, you must possess them through faith and patience.

MATTHEW 9:29 NKJ 29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you." This is the statement of Jesus. It is valid for you today just as it was then. You will receive from God according to your faith. Do not let this discourage you.

Rather it should encourage you. Although your faith may not be strong now, you can strengthen it by feeding on the Word of God. It is under your control. God's Word is faith food. The more you read it, speak it, and hear it, the stronger your faith will grow.

SAY THIS: I will feed on God's Word and build my faith so I can receive all the blessings God has for me.

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. Ephesians 1:19 (KJV)  We have power. I'm talking about the strength that progressively increases. I'm talking about that vigor, that dominion, and that manifested power that can be seen. This is all part of the inheritance of the saints.  You inherit His power, to us "...and what is the exceeding greatness of his power who believe...".
