Amazing to me are the many ways that God brings to mind the promises that he has for us. Here in lies one of those promises, “at the proper time God will exalt us.” We do not run this race for exaltation. We do not climb the mount of resurrection to be exalted. We do not bear our cross so that we can be elevated.
