In response to the City’s nuisance abatement lawsuit, filed April 17, the City of Fayetteville and the owners of Cambridge Arms have agreed on a plan to address safety and security concerns at the apartment complex. If done properly and biblically, prayer becomes your launching pad to living a life that is beyond even your wildest desires. That’s what happened to Hannah praying for a son. Her prayer was answered because of her strategy. A strong prayer life will literally launch you into another dimension! In theory, we know this. In practice, most of us struggle to have a consistent, vibrant, and refreshing prayer life. I too have struggled with my prayer life...

People are getting up every morning going to the job that they hate, they work for money that they're worth more than, they work for people they don't like, they do things they don't want to do, they go home to a house that's full of friction, they watch television programs that depress them, they go to a bed and sleep back to back with their spouse without speaking to them and wake up the next morning to do it all over again; And they do that for 30 or 40 years...

You’re real life is not really the life that goes on around you. It’s not event the life that everybody thinks that you have. Your real life is the life that’s in you. It’s what’s going on in you. The kingdom of God is in you, the Bible says…  When Jesus came to offer us a new life, he offered us really, first and foremost, a very special inner life. Yes, He helps us with our circumstances but He’s also telling people that no matter what your circumstances are you can have a great life...

Many people prosper financially. Many people prosper vocationally. Some are fortunate to prosper relationally. Yet, our souls are supposed to prosper as well (3 John 1:2). In this verse, John indicates that his prayer is for us to prosper in all things, just as our soul prospers. He believed that the prosperity of our souls is just as important as other things. And I believe that is the key ingredient to a life of success and not just moments of success.

Praise Almighty God!  He has His own deadline.  The big piece is what was done while I was in the circumstance, not the circumstance itself.  What was I doing?  How was I responding?  God was WAITING ON ME to get out of the way and put the pressure on HIM.  It’s amazing what God will use, an ordinary electric bill.  I had taken my focus off my circumstance and focused on what I needed to learn from it.  What was God teaching me?  The knowledge I would get from that would...

Convenient meant, "Jasmine, close my door."  "Can you get me some water?"  "Will you please throw this away?"  Then it became, "Let's play X-box, Playstation, or Gamecube."   But the inconvenience meant, "Mom, please tell Jasmine to get out of my room."  You see, he had to call me because Jasmine was a little bit of a provoker.  She would wait until he was good and busy.  There was one time when Chris was washing dishes.  Jasmine came up....

And not only was it a new season, but everything seemed so very new, in a very strange way.  But this newness was not predicated on the things that could be seen, but on the unseen.  The newness put me in a place that I had never discovered.  There was an area in my life that I had not claimed, uncharted territory, an unknown place, unexplored, and totally unfamiliar to me. It all started the day when my electric bill was due....

Amid all the excitement of moving, I didn’t even stop to think to make plans for my birthday. The day before my birthday, I was so exhausted. My body ached in places I didn’t even know existed that could hurt. That night, I thought, “I’ll just get up in the morning and bake myself a nice chocolate cake,” as that was about all the strength I felt I could muster up. I remember being very tired that night and laying down just to rest my eyes. Jasmine came and said...

Moving day had finally arrived.  This move was a little different from the first move, ten years ago was with three children and pregnant with one on the way.  Now, the one that was on the way, Jasmine was now nine years old and two, Michael and Lori, had already left the nest to begin life on their own.  There was so much excitement in the air on this day.  One month prior to the move, I was able to take a tour of my townhome...
